Goat Farm
Although Mado uses the most advanced technology in the production the reason of acheivng the taste of hand-churned ice cream of masters is the milk of goats feeding in unique nature.
K.Maras ice cream has many secrets. Mastership, patience and tradition… but it has another secret than these. This is the milk of goat feeding with wild orchide roots in flora and fauna of Ahir mountain namely with sahlep.
Goat’s milk accepted as the closest milk to human milk in terms of nutrition and mineral values is more valuable and less found due to goats’ giving less milk than other animals giving milk.
Protein rate being 1,6 % in human milk is 4,3 % in goat’s milk.
Goat’s milk is suitable for the ones whose stomach is weak and sensitive, it is easy to digest. The allergy risk in goat’s milk is lower. Goat’s milk calcium rate of which is high is good calcium source for tooth and bone development in children. It is the only milk close to human milk in terms of A vitamin, phosphor, magnesium and selenium.
Goat’s milk used in the production of Mado ice cream used to be supplied from villages arond 33 thousand m2 plant in K.Maras. Mado supplies goat’s milk being the basic material of all products from goats that it breeds at the farm built on 600 acres field in Ahir Mountain with a great investment.
It is planned to increase the number of goats being over one thousand to 10 thousand within 3 years in the farm. Mado intends to get more milk bu blending Saanen Sweden goat with Halep goat. The only reason why the farm is built in Ahir mountain is that the scents of grasses and fruit cultivation in the nature of the region pass the milk of goat feeding with them.. This scent that is only available in milk of goat feeding in this region is the greatest secret of K.Maras ice cream. For this reason, quality of goat’s milk in the region is essential for Mado.
Mado intends to standardize goat’s milk, encourage farmers in Turkey known as an agriculture country, employ for local economy and develop the area by performing the work it is specialized with farm investment. Mado being the only brand producing ice cream with goat’s milk determined its own standards for ice cream and acquired patent from TSE. Mado acting with the purpose of producing raw material in its own facilities for its product and growing more and more each passing day and extending to the world intends following with the investment it made;
Standardization of goat’s milk,
To encourage farmers by blending this investment in Turkey with traditional culture benefiting from today’s technological opportunities,
To provide employment for local economy and develop the area with works it is specialized,
Blending goats with different rance and breeding productive “MADO WHITE” goat and to introduce it into literature (Saanen Sweden goat and Halep goat hybrid).
Mado House
The most important feature of K.Maras local food that distinguishes it from other local food is that it keeps food culture going back to Otoman palaces. K.Maras hosted various civilizations for centuries. The most important heritage of each civizilation was the different tastes introduced in kitchens. Especially, during times of Dulkadiroğulları Beylik, young girls of K.Maras married into courts and so food culture of court kitchen was moved to K.Maras and unique taste of K.Maras kitchen was moved to the court.

It operates in ice cream sector with brands Mado, Ice Mar, Mardo and Marpop and in coffee sector with Filicori Zecchini and distribution of consumables with Yasar Logistics. Yasar Dondurma ve Gıda Maddeleri A.S proved its production sensitive to consumers, environment and employees in 33.000 m2 facilities in Kahramanmaras with HACCP and ISO quality certificates.

Following goat farm established in Ahir mountain in Kahramanmaras in the second half of 2008, it allocated 20 million dollars budget for distributing the water specific to this mountain to Turkey and it laid the foundation of water production facilities in the region. It aims to market bottled water it will put on the market as of 2009 primarily in Mado cafes and all over the country.
